What kind of bike options do you have?
You can choose between a comfortable city bike, a hybrid bike, or an electric bike. Our electric bikes are great for anyone concerned about their fitness level or looking for a bit of an extra boost. These bikes are only available for those 16 years or older, and there is a $25 upgrade fee. You can leave a note in your booking if you think you'd like to upgrade, and then you can pay any outstanding amount on the day of your tour.
What if I need to leave the tour early?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour, we ask that all participants start and end the tour as a group. We will be riding a significant distance (14 miles/23 kilometers) and there won't be a great opportunity to direct you back to our starting point once we depart. We will also be taking a ferry ride to Granville Island about mid-way through the tour.
Am I required to wear a helmet?
Yes, British Columbia law requires that all cyclists wear helmets. All helmets are fully sanitized before and after each use and provided free of charge.
How long is the ride?
We will be together for about 5 hours, 2.5 of which will be easy riding. We'll cover approximately 14 miles/23 kilometers throughout the tour. This is our easiest tour as we maintain an leisurely pace and stop frequently.
Can I store my bags at your office?
Of course! You are welcome to bring your larger bags along at the start of the tour and leave them in our shop until we return.
What's included in this tour?
The bike, helmet, and knowledgable local guide are all encompassed in the tour price. There is a British Colombia sales tax of 5% that will be calculated at the time of checkout. During the tour, we'll stop at the Public Market on Granville Island which is full of shops, eateries, and vendors of all sorts. We recommend bringing cash or card along should you wish to purchase snacks or souvenirs as purchases here are not included in the tour price. Gratuities are also at your discretion at the end of the tour.
Will my bike have a basket?
Yes! We recommend bringing small bags and extra layers as they can easily be carried in the basket. We also recommend bringing along a water bottle, or you are welcome to purchase water at our shop.
What time should I arrive for my tour?
We ask that everyone arrives 15 minutes early to get fitted for bikes and to ensure an on-time departure. Unfortunately, we cannot wait for late arrivals.
